Call for Expressions of Interest – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026
The School of International Studies (SIS) at the University of Trento (Italy) invites expressions of interest from excellent postdoctoral researchers wishing to apply, together with a SIS supervisor, to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026, funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe (call reference: HORIZON-MSCA-2026-PF-01).
This call is open exclusively to candidates applying for the European Postdoctoral Fellowships sub-scheme.
Selected applicants will receive full academic and administrative support from SIS faculty members and from the University Research Support Office, particularly for proposal development and submission.
Eligibility and Preliminary Contact
Researchers interested in applying must meet all MSCA PF eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to:
- identify potential supervisors at SIS, and
- contact them as early as possible to discuss shared research interests and project ideas.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit the required documents by 20 April 2026. Applications must be sent by email to msca.sis@unitn.it, with the subject line: “MSCA at SIS”

Selection Process and Timeline
- 20 April 2026 – Deadline for expressions of interest
- 04 May 2026 – Notification of selected candidates
- Selected applicants will be invited to develop the full proposal in collaboration with a SIS supervisor
- 30 June 2026 – Complete draft of the application must be ready
- 31 August 2026 – Final version of the proposal must be completed
Please note that failure to meet the final deadline of 31 August 2026 may result in the withdrawal of SIS support for the proposal.
